I’m torn on what the pistons should do this offseason. Should the Pistons trade for the likes of KG or Kobe or stay on the same track the team is currently traveling on? The draft hasn’t done anything for JoeD seems like every draft pick has left or is a bust “FreeDarko”. So the draft is not an option. What if they do sign Billups to a long term contract for a fat pocket of dough? What would that truly solve? We’ll see I guess..
Chauncey Billups officially opted out of his contract Monday, making him an unrestricted free agent as of July 1. “Chauncey’s first intention is to come back to Detroit, and we’ll continute to explore that as an option, but if we’re unable to make a deal with the Pistons my obligation is to look at other possibilities that will provide long-term security for Chauncey and his family,” agent Andy Miller told ESPN.com.

Former Iowa forward Tyler Smith and former Arizona guard J.P. Prince , transfers to play at Tennessee this coming season. Smith, a 6-foot-7, 220-pound sophomore, left Iowa shortly after former coach Steve Alford bolted for New Mexico.
Smith and Arizona transfer J.P. Prince, who sat out last season under NCAA rules, should bolster the Volunteers’ front court. Prince, a cousin of Detroit Pistons star Tayshaun Prince, averaged two points and two rebounds in 28 games at Arizona in 2005-06. The 6-foot-6 Prince had lost the backup point guard job to freshman Nic Wise. Prince said he left on good terms with the coaches and his teammates. espn
